The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Program Aide to serve as a member of SPH in a temporary position. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of Article Writing. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment, and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. The Article Writer will create and develop editorial written works external and internal communications. Confer with management to discuss changes or revisions to written material. Revise written material to meet personal standards and to satisfy needs of faculty, directors, or School of Public Health.

Job Description Summary:

Confer with management to discuss changes or revisions to written material. Revise written material to meet personal standards and to satisfy needs of faculty, directors, or School of Public Health.

Required Education:

  • Pursuing degree in communications are journalism

Required Experience:

  • Excellent writing skills an available on an as-need basis

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications or journalism

                                     


Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • PHD level articles writing
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing articles on our faculty’s research by creating and develop editorial written works external and internal communications.
  • Research Data Documents (text, Word), spreadsheets, Audiotapes, videotapes, photographs, films. 
  • Other assigned duties
