The Program Administrator, Volunteer Services is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the day-to-day operations of our Volunteer Program. You will develop strategic plans, designs, develops and implements program objectives, procedures, processes, and standards with the intention of expanding the current program.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinates all elements of Volunteer Services programs. Proposes, develops, coordinates, and organizes resources, people, and logistics to meet program objectives, growth and maintenance, and process improvement.
  • Interfaces with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to maintain and further develop program growth, community outreach activities, as well as relationship building and maintenance. Serves as the primary contact and resource for the program operations and administrative activities.
  • Supports onboarding and training needs for Volunteers and implements any applicable education, training, on-boarding and/or mentorship pertaining to the program.  Recruits volunteers from the community, conducts interviews and places them in the appropriate roles.
  • Researches, gathers, and summarizes data from various sources to evaluate program performance and/or program operations. Makes recommendations to management based on findings. May provide information to program participants, stakeholders, and/or cross functional teams.
  • Develops new programs and identifies new needs within the volunteer programs opportunities. Establishes key relationships with departments that utilize volunteer support and work collaboratively.
  • Leverages technology to manage the applicant database. May provide ad hoc reporting to support recommendations observed through trend analysis for future planning and enhancements.
  • Monitors program to ensure appropriate governance and program compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as with local, state and federal laws; accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements. Assists and coordinates with management in areas of monitoring, communicating process or compliance changes, and implementing plans to update processes. May assist with, or take corrective actions, as needed.
  • Drafts the program's communication documents including policies and procedures, and other program materials.
  • Instructor for volunteer orientation, conducts volunteer interviews, front office coverage, answering phones as needed, customer service, creates volunteer badges, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Facilitates meetings to plan or lead initiatives to develop and engage volunteers and the many ways in which we serve our organization.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED - Minimum 
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field - Preferred

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of program support experience, Minimum

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Analytical\Ability to demonstrates problem solving skills and recommends solutions
  • Communication - Ability to communicate expectations and priorities, and clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Project Management - Ability to promote and foster participation/collaboration among individuals and groups
  • Relationship Building – Ability to develop and manage multiple relationships across the department
