Job Summary

The Program Administrator is responsible for supporting the Program Director and assists with developing procedures to ensure effective operation of the Program. Working closely with the Program Director, the Program Administrator will oversee various aspects of program management, including admissions, course scheduling, student and faculty support, student capstone projects, financial management, and communication.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who excels in independent work, showcases meticulous attention to detail, and possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and communication abilities. Proficiency in technology, coupled with strong problem-solving skills, will ensure that they can efficiently manage program operations, from student and faculty coordination to financial oversight.

Department Description

The Office of Planning and Communications is the lead communications unit for the School. The office is responsible for ensuring the School’s contributions to science, education, and patient care are communicated successfully and messaged appropriately to its audiences and for managing the development and implementation of the School’s strategic plans. The office is managed by the Associate Dean of Planning and Communications, who reports to the Dean and who carries the primary responsibility for the School-level planning function of the office. The office is a unit of the School of Pharmacy Office of the Dean.

General responsibilities cover:
• School-level communications, including communications from the dean to target audiences
• School-level strategic planning
• Branding (including messaging and identity) in support of the main UCSF brand and in support of the School’s sub-brand
• Building, maintaining, updating, and expanding the technical infrastructure of all School websites
• Delivering editorial content for the main School and Office of the Dean website pages
• Empowering School staff with the web technical and editorial skills needed to care for their individual websites Maintaining a robust and well-rounded social media presence for the School.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, public health administration or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI and Computation: Familiarity with artificial intelligence and computational tools could be beneficial for managing the AICD3 program.
