Professor

The Department of Mathematics at The University of Chicago invites applications for the position of Professor of Mathematics. The appointee will be expected to conduct research in classical and geometric analysis, including geometric spectral theory, the study of the geometry of nodal sets, and discrete harmonic functions. The appointee will be expected to submit findings for publication, attend and present at various national and international conferences and professional meetings. The appointee will also be responsible for conducting graduate and undergraduate courses in Mathematics. Specifically, duties will include course preparation, review and grading of assignments, and academic advising of individual students as requested. Will also serve on departmental committees and contribute to departmental administrative affairs, as directed by the Chair.

Ph.D. in mathematics or related field.
