Career Opportunity for a Pediatric Gastroenterology Division Chief

The University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Division and Section Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition to lead our team. The University of Louisville School of Medicine has worked together with Norton Children's Hospital to care for the patients of our region, train the doctors of tomorrow, and research and innovate in the field of child health for nearly 100 years. Our current Gastroenterology service excels in all three of these areas and is looking to grow significantly in the coming years to carry out our joint mission:

  • To be the region's most comprehensive and preferred pediatric healthcare system from infancy to young adulthood
  • Training tomorrow's pediatric healthcare providers and leaders
  • Translating clinical research to state-of-the-art bedside care
  • Promote healthy families through advocacy and community engagement

Our newly integrated entity, Norton Children's Medical Group affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine has, in three short years, recruited well over 100 providers, added four new accredited fellowships, increased outreach throughout our state, and increased NIH, industry sponsored grants, and registry and trial drug network funding through our collaborative research institute, Norton Children's Research Institute (NCRI).
