Professor of Practice and Director of Innovations in Honors Program

(Teaching & Learning Management 1 – MR14)

The Honors College

University of Tennessee, Chattanooga

The Honors College of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a Professor of Practice and Director of the Innovations in Honors Program.

The Innovations in Honors (IIH) Program is a two-to-three-year program in the Honors College designed for transfer students and currently enrolled students at the sophomore and junior levels. A problem-based, community-embedded program that challenges students to utilize design thinking, applied creativity and problem-solving, and collaboration to address issues in our community, IIH uses Chattanooga and our campus as active learning laboratories. IIH students work closely with faculty members and civic partners in a two-semester Innovation Lab to tackle authentic, real-world problems and benefit the larger shared community. Representatives from the city of Chattanooga and the dean of the Honors College recently signed an agreement that delineates how and with whom specific Innovation Labs will indeed work for the 2023-2024 academic year. https://blog.utc.edu/news/2023/08/utc-honors-college-collaborates-with-chattanooga-on-innovative-solutions-to-citywide-problems/?_gl=1*qm4632*_gcl_au*MjA3ODk0NzYxMy4xNjg4NTcxNTg2
