The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for the Hoke S. and Stella Greene Chair in Catalysis (Associate or Full Professor level).  The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field and an established and funded research program that applies innovative approaches in catalysis (broadly defined) to address problems in the sustainable chemistry/energy or life sciences.  The successful candidate will play a central role in developing a growing focus on sustainable chemistry and health in the department.


In addition, the successful candidate is expected to maintain a vigorous externally-funded research program, increase her/his research visibility and recognition at the national and international levels, and be committed to enthusiastic and effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The University of Cincinnati is a rapidly-growing Research-Extensive University with outstanding location, facilities, and infrastructure to support cutting-edge research and collaborative interactions at the interface of chemistry, materials, and health.  We are a premier, public, urban research university; ranked as one of America’s top 26 public research universities by the National Science Foundation.
