The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina
(http://www.chem.sc.edu/) invites applications for an endowed SmartState Chair in Polymer Nanocomposites/Polymer, broadly defined, to be filled at the tenured Professor level with a proposed start date of August 16, 2023.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead, strengthen, and expand existing programs in polymer science and also to strive for excellence in teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses.
Required Education and Experience
Qualifications are a Ph.D. in a chemistry/polymer-related field plus at least nine years of relevant experience by the start date of employment, demonstrated significant achievements, international recognition for work in the field, and a track record of significant external funding to support their scholarly activities.
