Description: Scientific Project Lead Position at Princeton University The Brangwynne Lab at Princeton University is currently considering highly qualified candidates interested in working as a senior scientist/project lead for a new multi-institutional research project supported by the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative. The position is available immediately. Laboratories at Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Rockefeller University are part of a new consortium supported by the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative. The broad aim of this project is to map the dynamics of RNA and protein as they move through biomolecular condensates within living cells, to understand condensate function and dysfunction in cell physiology and disease. We seek a PhD level scientist who is interested in serving as the project lead, to help coordinate and connect scientific activities across the three institutions. The project lead will have the opportunity to work with and facilitate research across a team of 6-8 scientists working at Princeton, Penn, and Rockefeller. It is expected that the project lead will also be able to devote significant time to a primary research project that synergizes with the broader goals and activities of the team. Potential candidates should have a PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics or related fields, as well as demonstrated interest and relevant backgrounds in one or more of the following areas: *Imaging spatiotemporal dynamics of RNA in living cells *RNA processing and modifications in disease *Biophysics of condensate assembly and dynamics *Computational approaches to biomolecular assembly *Mapping ribonucleoprotein structure *Proteomics approaches The project lead will be based in the Brangwynne lab at Princeton University, but will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple labs and potentially spend time at the other institutions. Appointments are anticipated for three years, with renewal each year contingent upon satisfactory performance.
