Nature of Work/Summary of Job

The nature of work is clinical research.  The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension is looking for a Professional Research Assistant (PRA) to work as a clinical research coordinator in a clinic setting.  There is a mix of industry studies and investigator-initiated studies.

Examples of Work Performed

The PRA will be responsible for assisting primary study coordinators with study set-up to include organizing paper work, creating applicable labels in Freezer Pro (the software used in the office for storing lab samples), labeling lab tubes, room prep, assisting with phlebotomy, lab processing, etc.  The PRA will also assist in patient recruitment for both industry and investigator-initiated studies by reviewing patient charts in EPIC, interfacing with TriNETx to obtain potential participant lists, attending clinic as needed to meet with care providers and potential participants, and pre-screening potential participants via phone using a phone script.  Additionally, the PRA will assist primary study coordinators with the maintenance of study regulatory binders by assuring that all required documents are current and filed.  The PRA may also assist with Redcap database creation and data entry.  Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $35,600 to $42,500.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in medical setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.  Ability to work well with others, exceptional communication skills and detail-oriented.
