Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.


Unit Position Summary

MSU Product Center seeks a Temporary Professional Aide. Come help us support small businesses throughout Michigan.

Provides professional support. This position will include working with our small food and agriculture businesses to develop and perfect their products. Duties to include tracking clients through our product testing and services program (we'll train you!), answering phones and emails, scheduling meetings and generally supporting our team.

Position Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call.


Desired Qualifications
  • Proven ability in establishing and working with a diverse network of constituents and community members across race, gender, socioeconomic class, disabilities, and other differences to assist with program development and outreach.
  • Understanding of and ability to implement Civil Rights principles and compliance standards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Outlook and Excel (or willingness to learn!)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A great attitude and interest in new food and ag products
