This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Job description

Student Technical Assistant I - AutoCAD -  MSU IPF - Building Performance Services 

JOB FUNCTIONS:  (Assists With)

Duties include:

o Facility and construction site visits.

o Updating building floor plans in AutoCAD and BIM Models in REVIT.

o Performing field measurements for alterations to new construction and existing MSU buildings.

o Collecting Data outside in the field with cameras and data collection equipment.

o Utilizing BlueCielo Meridian document management system to look up construction drawings and to file them.

o Collaboration with other departments, both within IPF and throughout the University. Occasionally Assist Engineers in construction drawing layout and development.

QUALIFICATIONS : 

Minimum :

o Proficient in AutoCAD

o Able to read Construction prints.

o Able to use laser tape measure and regular tape measure.

o Able to use camera equipment.

o Able to use Microsoft Office & Teams.

o Good commutations skills & customer relations skills.

o Valid U.S. driver license.

Desired:

o Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD

o Proficient in Autodesk Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP

o Proficient in Autodesk Navis Works

o Proficient Autodesk Inventor

o Proficient in ArcGIS

o Proficient in ArcGIS Field Maps

o Proficient Planon IWMS

o Autodesk Build/ Plangrid

o Proficient in Primavera Unifier

o Proficient in BlueCielo Meridian document management system
