Description of Work
Produce compelling, creative and high quality sports broadcast and digital content for Nebraska Public Media! Be part of an award-winning team as a producer of live high school & collegiate sports from one of our two remote trucks and our live studio series “Big Red Wrap-Up,” a Nebraska Football recap program. Produce non-sports content in other genres which may include history, arts, health, and science. Experience producing non-fiction television content from start to finish. Strong writing and original storytelling skills are vital to this position.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field plus three years of experience originating, developing, writing, and producing non-fiction television content essential; equivalent education/experience considered. Strong interpersonal skills necessary. Television production, copywriting and editing, knowledge of current events, computer literacy. Strong writing and original story-telling skills. Familiarity with EFP, multi-camera studio and remote production.
Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years’ experience originating, developing, writing, and producing non-fiction television content. Budgeting experience, multi-camera productions, long form writing and producing, digital content production, strong writing and original story-telling skills, live sports production, ability to direct live multi-camera studio and remote productions, hands-on nonlinear editing skills, skills as a single camera videographer, intern supervision and mentoring. Library, archive and general research skills and familiarity with print, motion picture/video and photographic materials.
