Job Description:

Provide commodity and service procurement services for SUNY Poly in accordance with applicable policies, regulations and guidelines.  This position will coordinate sourcing and purchasing activities and will assist the Director of Procurement as needed for more complex procurement processes.

  • Review submitted purchase requisitions related to procuring commodities and services up to designated policy limits, that would include identification of vendors, communications with vendors and campus constituents related to these procurements, the application of SUNY procurement policies and procedures, securing required quotes and/or bids as required by NYS and SUNY guidelines, that result in the issuance of system generated purchase orders and/or AC340 documents.
  • Assist and train as needed, campus constituents in purchase requisition process, receiving process, and end user reporting.
  • Assist the campus community to expedite and resolve procurement, receiving or accounts payable issues.
  • Assist Director of Procurement with complex contracts and proposals.
  • Make purchases using Procurement card and ensure all documentation is collected and maintained.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Salary: $48,000 to $58,000

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • 3 years of experience in procurement services or accounts payable.
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
