The School of Engineering
Stanford Engineering has been at the forefront of innovation for nearly a century, creating pivotal technologies that have transformed the worlds of information technology, communications, health care, energy, business and beyond. Our faculty and students are creative risk-takers who pursue excellence across a breadth of disciplines. Our alumni include some of the world's most successful leaders in technology and business. Our staff are critical to enabling Stanford Engineering to accomplish its mission: seeking solutions to some of the world's most urgent challenges and educating leaders who will make the world a better place through the power of engineering principles, techniques and systems.

The Stanford Nanofabrication Facility (SNF) provides equipment and expertise in nanoscale science and engineering to Stanford and other researchers from academic, industrial, and government labs across the US and around the globe. Every year, over 400 researchers in engineering, medicine, physics, and chemistry use our cleanroom and satellite labs to make structures and devices that help them understand the world and work to make it a better place. More than a lab, it's a vibrant research community.
We seek an experienced Process Operations Associate to support research operations. This candidate should be an individual who works well as part of a strong team and in a customer-oriented environment to devise creative, effective solutions to everyday lab concerns.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering fundamentals and have demonstrated practical, hands-on know-how.

This position will be responsible for Process Operations. They will work closely with Senior Engineering staff to troubleshoot technical issues, train Lab Members, and monitor the status of process equipment with an emphasis on wet benches. Supervision and mentoring of Interns is a critical component of this position. Interns will be reporting their data and results directly to this position.  Although the core competency of SNF is based in semiconductor technologies, our user community is forward-looking and trans-disciplinary; thus, the candidate should be flexible and well-versed in engineering fundamentals in order to adapt to a changing technology landscape beyond silicon.
