Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | This position is located in Rockville, MD at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). Under general supervision, functions as a lead worker in the performance of journey level work in the operation of copy center related equipment in a campus-wide, large scale printing operation. Oversee Color and Black/White printing, course packet services, image resizing, collating, stapling, and binding of materials. Work with USG’s Office of Information of Technology (OIT) to resolve technical and data issues with ID and Printing equipment. Please see PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Standard work hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. This position is not telework eligible. |
Minimum Qualifications: | Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Six years progressively responsible experience in the operation of single and multi-color presses. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. |

Physical Demands | Position requires frequent bouts of sitting, standing, reaching with hands and arms, and squatting. Will lift and carry supplies, equipment, mail bags and packages weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines, handle a large number of tasks and projects simultaneously and tolerate the noise level and heat produced by the equipment. May need to work additional hours as needed. |
