Job Overview

The Department of Family & Community Medicine has played a leading role in fellow, resident, and medical student education since 1974 and continues to focus on improving the health of members of our Cincinnati community and beyond, with a special focus on medically underserved patients. With faculty expertise in areas such as primary care research, palliative care, geriatrics, global health and integrative medicine, the department is advancing the college's commitment to cultivating learning environments, fostering research and scholarship, and providing innovative patient care. 

 


The University of Cincinnati, Department of Family & Community Medicine Division of Integrative Medicine and the Osher Center for Integrative Health are searching for a mid-level research assistant and wellness program manager. With direct supervision from the Center Director, the Principal Research Assistant will provide research and wellness program support for the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati. Candidate must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage large programs and projects. This position will be responsible for various aspects of a variety of research projects including program management, constituent communication, data collection, entry, analyses, and report writing.  The position may also oversee medical student research projects and lead development of an integrative health research network. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, enjoy working with diverse teams and be flexible and innovative.  Excellent project management and interpersonal communication are essential.


Essential Functions
  • Under supervision from the Center Director, provide research and wellness program support for the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati. 
  • Develop procedures and oversee and implement research projects and Center initiatives, including culinary medicine and workplace mindfulness programs. 
  • May serve on various university, division, and departmental committees and attend meetings. 
  • Research project and study approach options.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and university regulations. 
  • Ensure timeliness and integrity of research and projects.
  • Serve as mentor and technical credible role model to junior staff. 
  • Coordinator work of students, if applicable.
  • Write and administer surveys electronically through software, such as Survey Monkey and/or REDcap.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience
  • Five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and some experience or willingness to learn to use reference software such as Zotero, RefWorks or Endnote and management software such as Canva, Kajabi.
