Description of Work Unit | The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DOD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations. Position Summary | A Principal Investigator position is available at the main campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. One or more Principal Investigator (PI) positions are available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) at Colorado State University (CSU) to manage and implement CEMML’s existing projects and promote continued program development. PI responsibilities include overseeing multiple on-campus and off-campus personnel and a variety of complex projects throughout the United States and U.S. Territories. This position performs and directs substantive, project-oriented tasks, and is responsible for securing program/project funding; prepares proposals/budgets; and assumes fiscal and administrative responsibility for assigned projects, resources, and staff.
