Principal Food Service Worker

  JOB DUTIES
  

In this role you will work on all assigned tray assembly stations to assemble meal trays accurately and presentable while working in a fast paced environment. You will also present menus to patients and assist them with menu selections as needed, distribute menus according to diet master list, collect trays after each meal and deliver food cart to the elevators, and prepare and deliver snacks to patients. Additionally you will refill expediter refrigerators and cereal cart as needed. Other duties as assigned. Pay Range: $18.90-23.02 Hourly

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  

Required: * Experience in food service including service, tray assembly, and/or general food service background. * Basic knowledge and understanding of all diets. * Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instruction in the English language, sufficient to identify food items within the menu. * Ability to work effectively as a part of a team on a fast-paced tray assembly line. * Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations without the use of a calculator. * Ability to work in a standing position for a long period of time, stretch, bend, push, lift, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively. * Ability to work in hot, cold, and or wet areas, lift up to 40 lbs., push loaded carts weighing up to 350 lbs. * Ability to conform to dress code and prescribed safety, sanitation and food safety handling practices and procedures. * Must have safe food handling practices and good personal grooming habits. * Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and adhere to work schedules. * Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers. * Must be able to attend all departmental training classes.
