Training others to implement Literacy Collaborative, the Primary LC Trainer provides leadership in designing and producing Literacy Collaborative training materials. In this role, the Primary LC Trainer creates/leads various literacy professional development events related to Literacy Collaborative, including: interprets evaluation data & standards for implementation, organizes and manages technical assistance for schools in the literacy network, and uses primary level data to inform implementation of primary Literacy Collaborative training program. The Incumbent plans and leads meetings for university and school district level trainers, and extensive travel is required. The primary LC Trainer is responsible for developing and managing a network that includes universities and districts with other duties as assigned.

Duties:

(65%): Training others to implement Literacy Collaborative, the Primary LC Trainer provides leadership in designing and producing Literacy Collaborative training materials. In this role, the Primary LC Trainer creates/leads various literacy professional development events related to Literacy Collaborative, including: interprets evaluation data & standards for implementation, organizes and manages technical assistance for schools in the literacy network, and uses primary level data to inform implementation of primary Literacy Collaborative training program.

(20%): The Incumbent plans and leads meetings for university and school district level trainers, and extensive travel is required.

(15%): The primary LC Trainer is responsible for developing and managing a network that includes universities and districts with other duties as assigned.


Additional Information:

Minimum Education Required
Master's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in educa-early & middle childhood or education


Required Qualifications
Required: Master's degree in Early & Middle Childhood Education or related field or equivalent education/experience; Experience in program planning and administration, preferably including extensive primary school teaching


Desired: Leveled Literacy Intervention trained; Preference given to candidates who have experience leading professional development
