Pre-Registration Representative - Pre-Certification

Position Description:
Schedule Monday -Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Location: Remote

Answers calls from schedulers and physician office staff; Contacts patient or responsible party to obtain missing or incomplete demographic or insurance information. Verifies insurance through electronic processes; Contacts insurance company to obtain eligibility and verification of covered and non-covered services for scheduled appointments.  Records in IDX system the level of coverage and eligibility information; Creates cases for special billing requirements on patients.  Monitors invoices and TES transactions for corrections and subsequent re-filing; Researches and trouble-shoots accounts to facilitate proper billing.

Employee is required to work remotely after initial orientation.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma, or equivalent; Must meet basic computer proficiency standards.  Minimum 2 years of relevant insurance verification, registration, patient access, or medical billing/collections experience.  Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred: Some college preferred.  Experience with physician office and/or hospital registration systems strongly preferred.
