Position SummaryUnder the direction of the director of the PreK-12 Outreach department, perform specialized duties in support of pre-college student access and success. These will include leading or assisting in learning activities, preparing learning or promotional materials, recruitment, outreach, and student success and engagement functions for the College intended to: increase college readiness and attendance; increase awareness of college programs of study and career options preparing students for the transition from high schools served by the college.  Promote the college and its programs at community events and through the use of communication and technology strategies.
*REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:* 
• Implement and coordinate the college outreach strategies at specified schools to meet objectives and deadlines. 
• Evaluate services to insure continued program development and successful student completion. • Assist with planning and implementing outreach services between college, departments and high schools and community groups. 
• Develop and maintain communication and technology resources, such as brochures, flyers, posters, and technology strategies
• Represent the College at various outreach functions.  
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications *KNOWLEDGE OF:* 
• Electronic data processing systems.
• PowerPoint to develop outreach presentations. 
• Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. 
 *ABILITY TO:* 
• Operate a computer and related software including word processing, flyer creation, block coding, etc.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing 
• Use interpersonal techniques associated with tact, patience and courtesy 
• Meet schedules and timelines 
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work 
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions 
• Work with elementary, high school and middle school aged students 
• Work days, evenings and weekends as required 
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* 
Current student at UNM-Taos, at least half-time.
