Position Description
Professor Andrei Shleifer is looking to hire a full-time pre-doctoral fellow for the academic year 2022-2023. The pre-doc will be based at Harvard and will closely collaborate on all aspects of research in behavioral economics, including data analysis, surveys, and experiments.
The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills, and experiences:
  • A background in economics or applied math
  • Coding experience in Python, R, Stata or other languages, ideally including experience with NLP or other aspects of ML
  • Interest in behavioral economics
  • Strong project management and communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Prior experience as research assistant, ideally as a full time research assistant

The position is ideally suited for students who would like to improve their research skills to prepare themselves for graduate school.
The start date is September 1, 2022.
