* Functions as an expert for the department as a liaison between clinical and business operations and administration. * Oversees, provides leadership, and training for all front end duties such as reception, call center, referral and authorizations, and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. * Daily monitors all non-licensed staff. * Facilitates performance improvement projects. * Facilitates personnel related issues. * Provides support to departmental leadership in the processes of budget, program planning, and operation development. * Assigns various duties to staff; coordinates schedules and projected time-lines. * Performs and coordinates general front office duties. * Schedules patient appointments; secures medical authorizations; verifies insurance and eligibility; verifies billing; completes and codes billing documents. * Serves as a resource for patients, physicians, and ambulatory care service managers.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous related experience; skills, and extensive knowledge of practices, *including three years of supervisory experience in a large complex and or healthcare setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to function at an advanced level.

  • Demonstrated Epic in basket management experience.

  • Demonstrated patient scheduling experience.

  • Demonstrated insurance verification experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing concepts.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget management and planning.

  • Ability to articulate physician's areas of expertise.

  • Understands functions of the referral and authorization department.

  • Understands functions of the physician liaison department.

  • Able to flex work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs.

  • Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.

  • Must have strong organizational skills with demonstrated, independent ability to set priorities, handle deadlines and manage conflicting demands with limited supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to communicate ideas and issues clearly, concisely and accurately.

  • Ability to deal effectively with high-level administrators and department heads.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problems solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgment and discretion.

  • Working with headache patient population.
  • Epic template management / provider template changes.
  • Lean Six Sigma philosophy.
  • Running reports such as: NRC, Tableau, Vitals/Fall Risk Data, Copay Collection.
  • Ecotime Timesheet management.
  • Interviewing candidates process and orienting/training new team members.
  • Peer evaluations.
  • Creating protocols and workflows.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $61,178 - $76,108 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $29.30 - $36.45

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
