As a Practice Room Monitor, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Ensuring that students utilizing the practice rooms in the Foster Building have the appropriate Frost School of Music credentials. This is accomplished through continual physical monitoring of room use

2. Ensuring that practice rooms have the appropriate number of music chair(s) and stand(s)

3. Reporting any facilities-related issues to the facilities department as soon as they occur

4. Assisting students with using the online practice room scheduling software

5. Assisting students to gain initial access to their instrument lockers

6. Checking out/checking in equipment to students and faculty

7. Updating digital signage as needed

8. Posting notices on the Foster building doors as needed

9. Performing other administrative support activities as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
