Position Summary

The department of Neurology is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full-time Coordinator. The practice coordinator will maintain quality operations of a multi-disciplinary practice and report to the Practice Manager. You will be providing our medical practice with administrative support, assist with the day-to- day practice operations ensuring the highest level of customer service delivery, practice, support and patient confidentiality. This position does require ability to travel.


Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of the department.
  • Ensure timely and smooth patient flow, monitor physician schedules in EPIC
  • Create weekly exam room schedule and distribute accordingly
  • Respond to ad hoc schedule changes from providers
  • Supervise clinical support staff in the absence of Practice Manager
  • Answer telephone, route callers, take messages and provide routine information to callers in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments including coordination of procedures.
  • Verify insurance coverage, pre-certify/authorize patient visits and procedures.
  • Perform financial transactions and related functions when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.

  • Manage time appropriately to meet patient and department needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, Billing compliance and safety guidelines.
  • Adjust and acclimate to various work assignments and work environments.
