Position Summary

Applications are invited for an outstanding postdoctoral scholar to join the Department of City and Regional Planning working under the direction of Prof. Yan Song at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The postdoctoral scholar is expected to conduct research on urban form and environmental quality in China.
The candidate must hold a PhD in urban planning, enviromental science, public policy, or related discipline. Experience conducting research on land use and evironmental planning or policy issues is essential. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong training in quantitative analysis and statistical approaches along with knowledge of research design. Experience urban from related research is a plus.

Educational Requirements

PhD in planning or urban studies or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience with GIS and statistical software such as R, Stata. Coursework in statistics, research design, and land use planning.
