Shift
Monday through Friday; 8:00 m – 5:00pm. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required. 
Job Summary
Your main responsibility will be to support collaborative research focused on the contractile properties of myocardium and heart failure in humans.  This will include experiments, developing and refining new measurement techniques, biochemical analyses, and writing reports and manuscripts for peer review.  As a postdoc scholar, you are expected to participate in collecting myocardial samples from operating rooms.  This includes helping our team provide 24/7 call for organ procurement.  Submission deadlines and mentor/mentee availability may also necessitate hours outside of a standard daytime shift.  Teaching, mentoring, and guiding other students to achieve project goals will be required.   This workload represents full-time engagement on projects and pursuit of the program objectives.
