Position Description:


The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry has an opening for a post-doctoral research scholar in Dr. Ganesan's laboratory in the Iowa Institute for Oral Health Research. Our group seeks to investigate the underlying mechanism of the pathology of periodontal and peri-implant disease under the impact of systemic conditions such as obesity and Metabolic Syndrome by in vivo animal models and in vitro culture studies. Our lab focuses on the host-microbial interactions and identify microbial, immune, small molecule that underly the mechanisms.
