The Post Doctoral Scholar will specialize in single-cell sequencing data analysis, working under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. Duties include designing and developing innovative computational tools for single-cell multi-omics data analysis, investigating cell-type-specific regulatory mechanisms in complex tissues and diseases, revealing functional differences between patients and healthy individuals, creating web-based applications for comprehensive single-cell analysis, staying updated on biomedical data analysis technology and trends, collaborating with lab staff, researchers, and students, interpreting data and monitoring project progress, prioritizing research objectives, conducting literature searches, assisting with grant proposal writing and submission, preparing research manuscripts, articles, abstracts, and project reports, and presenting research findings at local, national, and international conferences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Ph.D. degree in one of the following areas: Biology, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, or other disciplines with strong quantitative background. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen;
