The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides care for every member of the family, across generations and over lifetimes. We aim to enhance the quality of life for underserved and vulnerable patients, while educating future generations of highly skilled, compassionate primary care specialists. Our goal is to combine education, patient advocacy, and evidence-based research to advance family medicine and geriatrics.

USC Street Medicine, withing the Department of Family Medicine and Geriatrics at USC Keck School of Medicine, invites applications for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow (Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate) under the supervision of Dr. Alexis Coulourides Kogan, who is the Research Director for USC Street Medicine. The primary purpose of this position will be to pursue and support research initiatives related to the provision of street medicine, health and social needs of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness, and other special homeless populations under the direction of Dr. Coulourides Kogan. Publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts and support of ongoing research studies will be primary expectations. Fellows will also be encouraged to pursue their own research interests related to unsheltered homelessness and street medicine, and didactic experiences may be obtained through multiple departments at USC. Exceptional organizational, communication, statistical, analytical, collaborative, and writing skills are necessary. A strong publication record, previous extramural funding, and experience with health disparities work and homeless populations will be viewed favorably. Funding for this position will support a two-year fellowship. The annual base salary for this position is $70,000.
