JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A postdoctoral scholar position is available to conduct basic and translational cancer research in the Department of Pediatrics at Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA. The candidate should have an M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and a strong background in molecular and cell biology with specific interest in drug discovery, autophagy, and programmed cell death in the context of pediatric cancer. The candidate must have demonstrated scholarly productivity, excellent scientific writing and communication skills, and the ability to conduct research independently or in team settings. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
