Description

 

The training program consists of rotations and clinical responsibility in an AAALAC-accredited program, teaching, technician training, and facility management. Trainees accepted into the program may also enroll in the graduate degree program leading to the Master of Science in Epidemiology.  Residents will share in rotating on-call duties for weekends and holidays

Qualifications 

Applicants must have a DVM and be US citizens, permanent residents or eligible for VISA sponsorship for employment. Graduates of an AVMA accredited school of veterinary medicine (or completion of all ECFVG or PAVE requirements) are preferred.

One year of post-veterinary school graduation experience and a license to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee is desired. Applicants wishing to pursue the MS degree must apply for admission to the College of Graduate Health Sciences.  Research opportunities are available during the program. Clinical, research, and graduate training can be used toward eligibility for certification by ACLAM.
