JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Humanities, in Hershey PA is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar.

The Humanities Department Presidential Postdoctoral Scholar will
•    Pursue their own research project under the mentorship of Humanities faculty
•    Teach in the UME curriculum, Phase 1 Humanities courses
•    Participate in Humanities faculty research and outreach activities as appropriate to their goals
•    Engage with other postdoctoral scholars and fellows in the College of Medicine
•    Participate in the life of the department and the college

Required qualifications: 
•    Doctoral or equivalent scholarly terminal degree in the humanities or social sciences
•    Demonstrated scholarly interest in medicine and health humanities
•    Active program in scholarship, research, and teaching
•    Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
