JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A Postdoctoral position is available starting on June 1, 2024 in the Eberly College of Science at the Pennsylvania State University to study the structure, mechanics and growth of plant primary cell walls, under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Cosgrove (Biology). This is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration supported by the Center for Engineering MechanoBiology .

Education and Experience

A Ph.D. is required, ideally with experience in plant cell wall structure, cell growth, mechanobiology, biophysical modeling, and mechanics of biopolymer-based materials.

 

Additional Information

This is a term position funded for one year from date of hire with a possibility of continuation.
