JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The laboratory of Dr. Daniel Hayes in Penn State's Department of Biomedical Engineering seeks to fill a Postdoctoral Scholar position. The successful candidate will work on projects exploring the development of controlled drug delivery systems. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong motivation and critical scientific thinking and creativity, as well as have the ability to design and conduct experiments, perform data analysis, assist with student training, and prepare manuscripts for publication.

This position requires a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in biomedical engineering, biochemistry, chemical engineering, molecular/cellular biology, or a related discipline by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in the following areas: cell therapeutics, immunology, and biocompatibility.

This is a term appointment, funded for one year from date of hire, with a possibility of renewal depending on the performance of the Postdoctoral Scholar and availability of funds.
