The Alberts lab in the Biology Department at Duke University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead an analysis of the genetic basis of sociality, using statistical modeling for quantitative genetic analysis, and exploring its relationship to life history traits, including survival. The research will focus on the study system of wild baboons in the Amboseli basin of southern Kenya. Candidates must have completed at least one year of postdoctoral training in addition to the PhD, must have experience with quantitative genetic analysis using the animal model, and must have behavioral ecology and field work training and experience as well.
