Job Description

The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct research on sustainable applications of nanotechnology in climate smart agriculture, and/or investigate the fate and degradation of PFAS by novel carbon-based adsorbents and catalysts, prepare peer-reviewed publications and proposals and assist the principal investigator in management of a research group of graduate and undergraduate students. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments and support data analysis using machine learning to investigate sustainable nanotechnology applications in agriculture.
  • Conduct experiments to investigate the adsorption and degradation of PFAS by novel carbonaceous adsorbents and catalysts.
  • Prepare manuscripts for high-impact journals.
  • Assist the PI in research proposals.
  • Support graduate students in related projects.
  • Maintain instruments and daily operations associated with these projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we need:

  • Doctoral Degree

What is helpful:

  • Doctoral Degree in environmental science and engineering, chemistry, materials science and engineering, or other related fields.
