Postdoctoral positions are available at the Stelzer Lab (https://physiology.case.edu/person/julian-e-stelzer/ ) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine focused on preclinical development of cardiac sarcomere targets for treatment of heart failure. We are seeking talented and motivated individuals with expertise in physiology, protein biochemistry and biophysics, bioengineering, computational modeling, structural biology, gene therapy and therapeutics, or other related fields. These positions are funded by the NIH and industry. Our laboratory investigates molecular and in vivo mechanisms of inherited and acquired heart disease using a broad array of techniques, which encompass atomic structure, cellular function, in vivo cardiac physiology, and translational studies utilizing in vivo gene delivery. These training opportunities are ideal for candidates interested in a career in academia or industry. The positions are available immediately; however, the start date is flexible.
