Description of Work Unit
The Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory is a research unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources. Scientific research there is focused on understanding ecosystem processes and managing natural resources.

Position Summary
Candidate with experience in soil biogeochemistry modeling.
Required Job Qualifications
  • PhD in ecology, soil science, agricultural science or related topics by the beginning of the appointment
  • Demonstrated experience with ecosystem modeling, crop modeling or related
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Understanding of terrestrial ecosystem and soil ecology and biogeochemistry.
  • Experience in construct mathematical models
  • Good Mathematical skills.
  • Experience with R or Python or Java programming
  • Previous experience in soil organic matter and N2O emission research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team that includes interdisciplinary scientists, and modelers
