Job Description

Position Summary

The TIRS T32 program support is for one year with possible renewal for a second year following evaluation of the performance by the steering committee. The fellowship includes a stipend at the current allowable NIH rate and may include additional support for tuition, travel or other training purposes. As a TIRS-T32 fellow, we will work with you to familiarize you with radiochemistry techniques, regulatory aspects of PET translational research and train in discovery and design of new PET tracers for imaging of neurodegenerative diseases and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Additionally, we encourage you to make every effort to attend PET imaging-focused talks hosted by PET Radiotracer Translation and Resource Center (PET-RTRC), Precision Radiotheranostics Translation Center (PRTC), the weekly Knight ADRC seminar, Neuroimaging in Health and Disease Meetings, Publications and Projects Update meetings and other ADRC activities. Furthermore, you are also required to engage in Responsible Conduct of Research Training annually, and to participate in the TIRS-T32 seminars and the retreat.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
