General Statement
This position is in the Department of Physics, in the College of Letters and Sciences.
Duties and Responsibilities
The postdoctoral researcher would carry out research in collaboration with Prof. Hang Yu’s group focusing on theoretical astrophysics and gravity. Potential topics include tidal interactions in compact binaries, relativistic celestial dynamics, and astrophysics of gravitational-wave sources. The candidate is expected to tackle research problems using either theoretical calculations or computational tools. During the appointment, the candidate is highly encouraged to apply for external fundings together with Prof. Yu to support the continuation of the project.

  • A Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy.
