About the Opportunity: 



Alkermes: 


This two-year Fellowship Program in collaboration with Northeastern University and Alkermes plc is designed to offer Doctor of Pharmacy graduates an in-depth experience in a biopharmaceutical industry setting. Alkermes is focused on developing innovative medicines that seek to address unmet needs of people living with serious mental illness, addiction and cancer. As a fully-integrated, global biopharmaceutical company, we apply our scientific expertise and proprietary technologies to develop products that are designed to make a meaningful difference in the way people manage their diseases. We actively and collaboratively advocate for the people affected by serious diseases, and are committed to patient engagement, disease education and awareness, and advocacy for important policies that support equitable access to treatment options. 


 


 



Responsibilities: 



Medical Affairs: 


Alkermes Medical Affairs strives to educate healthcare communities and decision makers on the value of our products through the generation and dissemination of scientifically rigorous, accurate, and unbiased information, with the goal of advancing healthcare. We accomplish this by partnering with internal Alkermes colleagues to catalyze science and knowledge and by serving as a bridge between Alkermes and the healthcare community.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE 


- Understand various roles, processes and industry standards involved in the creation and dissemination of medical information in the pharmaceutical industry setting 

- Strategically plan, develop and train on standard response letters 

- Contribute to the review of internal promotional and medical materials 

- Work closely with Medical Affairs team to develop training and scientific education for internal and external stakeholders 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. regulatory, marketing, sales, legal, clinical development) to provide and communicate the most up to date scientific information as a subject matter expert 

- Create, manage and track strategic scientific communication plans in a cross-functional manner 

- Partner with Medical Directors to develop scientific materials that align with the scientific communication plan (e.g. manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks). 


 


The fellows will work at Alkermes in Waltham, Northeastern offices on campus, as well as various clinical practice settings (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies) with Northeastern faculty. 


 


 



Qualifications: 



Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution, eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts. 



 
Preferred Qualifications: 



Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and leadership skills, ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at the industry site and Northeastern.
