Takeda Global Medical Affairs Fellowship:

Takeda Pharmaceutical Company is committed to striving towards better health for individuals and progress in medicine by developing superior pharmaceutical products. Takeda Global Medical Affairs supports the company mission by getting the right drug, to the right patient, at the right time. If you want to make a broader impact on the healthcare community, join our Global Medical Affairs Fellowship. Global Medical Affairs at Takeda provides medical support across the asset lifecycle, from early clinical development to marketed products, in four therapeutic areas, Gastroenterology, Neuroscience, Rare Genetics & Hematology and HAE & Transplant.  The two-year Takeda Global Medical Affairs Fellowship Program is designed to prepare postdoctoral scholars for rewarding careers in the biopharmaceutical industry. Through hands-on experience, fellows will work with various cross-functional teams to learn the role of Medical Affairs, develop skills in the analysis, interpretation, and communication of clinical data, and expand their scientific knowledge to render clinical insights and contribute to meeting customer needs.

In the first year, fellows have the opportunity to complete rotations in Medical Information, Medical Communications, Publications, Medical Excellence and Scientific Training and Evidence Generation groups. Fellows will be integrated into the workflow of each functional area while, also participating in special projects and initiatives. In the second year, the fellow will select a specialty concentration in their area of interest and expand their industry knowledge by leading projects and initiatives.  Throughout both years of the fellowship program, mentorship opportunities and one on one interactions with Global Medical Affairs leaders will be available.

Fellows may have the opportunity to participate in projects within other business areas, such as Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs.

Upon completion of the program, fellows will have both broad and deep experience in Medical Affairs and be well poised for the challenges of a career in the biopharmaceutical industry.

The fellows will primarily work at Takeda’s office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Northeastern University responsibilities will be carried out on the Northeastern Boston campus.
