Job Summary
Postdoctoral Fellow – Synthetic Organic Chemistry
The Romiti Group in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas, has a postdoctoral position available in the area of catalytic methods development and complex biologically active molecule synthesis to start as soon as December 2023. We are seeking a highly motivated and independent scientist with a strong background in organic synthesis and is excited about organic chemistry, synthesis and catalysis, to join our research team. Complex molecule synthesis experience is highly desired. The postdoc will develop high-impact and practical catalytic transformations, and creative, novel synthesis strategies for the concise and efficient preparation of bioactive complex natural products and analogs thereof. The postdoc will also serve as a mentor to junior graduate students.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

  • Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a related discipline completed within the last three years or soon to be completed
  • Experience in complex molecule synthesis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of experiments. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data. Conduct experiments using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures; plan and execute the details of experiments according to research protocol.
