Job Summary
Postdoctoral Fellow – Synthetic Organic Chemistry
The Romiti Group, coming to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas, has a postdoctoral position available in the area of catalytic methods development and complex biologically active molecule synthesis to start as soon as August 2024. We are seeking a highly motivated and independent scientist with a strong background in organic synthesis and is excited about organic chemistry, synthesis and catalysis, to join our research team. The postdoc will develop high-impact and practical catalytic transformations, and creative, novel synthesis strategies for the concise and efficient preparation of bioactive complex natural products and analogs thereof. The postdoc will also serve as a mentor to junior graduate students.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
Completed a Ph.D. within the last three years or soon to be completed in chemistry or a related discipline along with complex molecule synthesis experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, conduct and direct a wide variety of experiments. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data. Conduct experiments using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures; plan and execute the details of experiments according to research protocol.
