Position Summary
The Shpargel Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead a R01 funded project studying the impact of enhancer chromatin activation factors on facial development and neural crest stem cell biology. We utilize a variety of mouse genetic and cell culture models in combination with the latest genomic editing and sequencing methodologies to understand the cellular and molecular functions of histone modifying enzymes at the genome level with respect to human disorders. Current projects are examining the roles of these enzymes in balancing stem cell maintenance with osteoblast and chondrocyte differentiation.
Educational Requirements
Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Developmental Biology, or a related discipline. 
Qualifications and Experience
A strong background in developmental biology, mammalian cell culture, and molecular biology is preferred.
