Position Summary | A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the impact of pain and/or alcohol on brain circuits. This position is available in the lab of Dr. Thomas Kash at UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Research projects in the Kash lab use an integrative approach that combines behavioral testing, pharmacology, circuit-based approaches, slice electrophysiology, and anatomical techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong letters of support and experience in one or more of the above listed techniques. The successful candidate will be mentored toward research independence. Individuals holding or near completion (within six months) of a Ph.D. or equivalent degree are eligible. The applicant will work in a highly collaborative environment at the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies and receive an NIH-level stipend. |
