Job Description


Duties:
  • Designs, performs, and analyzes experiments consistent with project objectives.
  • Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results. 
  • Attends scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement.
  • Prepares data for publication and presentation.
  • Coordinates laboratory activities. Maintains laboratory instrumentation and follows applicable safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral (PhD) degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics
  • Proven record of research in Physics, Optics, Photonics area and strong publications

Preferred Experience:

  • Research expertise with entangled photons; squeezed light; single photon sources; quantum metrology, imaging and microscopy

Required Knowledge Abilities and Skills:

  • Excellent scientific writing ability
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

Appointment: The initial appointment will be for two years but could be extended. The starting date is expected to be June 1, 2022.
