Today, we are one of the largest colleges of veterinary medicine in the United States, training nearly 600 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students each year. We support collaboration and teamwork that turns today's discoveries into proactive solutions for animals, humans, and the environment. What we want

The Postdoctoral Research Associate focuses on computational and mathematical modeling of pathogens spread in the food supply chain. Collaborates between Martial Ndeffo’s Lab in the Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences and the Sapna Dass’s Lab in the Department of Animal Science. The position will contribute to one or more research projects. The research projects will focus on the development of mechanistic models which consider drivers and pathways of SARS-CoV-2 (and selected pathogens) transmission in livestock systems in a multipartite livestock-human-environment-wildlife systems approach. The models will be used to investigate transmission dynamics in space and time by considering and understanding the impact of biosecurity practices on the introduction and spread of pathogens at the farm level.
